The Cube: The Foundation of Structure
Ground your collection with the Cube (or Regular Hexahedron), perhaps the most iconic and stable of all geometric forms. Representing the element of "Earth" in classical philosophy, this 3D-printed wireframe sculpture embodies solidity, order, and the fundamental grid of three-dimensional space.
Design Highlights
• Pure Orthogonal Symmetry: A flawless arrangement of 6 identical square faces, 8 vertices, and 12 edges.
• Radiant Silk Finish: Printed in premium Silk Gold/Copper filament, the model’s flat planes and sharp 90° angles catch the light in broad, shimmering strokes, highlighting its architectural precision.
• Geometric Shadow Play: The open wireframe architecture projects a perfect square grid, creating a clean and rhythmic light display that grounds any workspace.
• Unified Series Scale: Precision-engineered to the collection’s standard 1.5 inch (39.6mm) edge length, allowing for a direct visual comparison of volume against the more complex Archimedean solids.
Specifications
• Material: High-quality, eco-friendly Silk PLA.
• Construction: High-resolution 3D-printed wireframe, optimized for perfect right-angle integrity.
• Display: Naturally stable on any of its six faces, making it the perfect "anchor" piece for a desk or shelf display.
The Mathematical Story
The Cube is the only Platonic solid that can tile three-dimensional space perfectly on its own (a cubic honeycomb). It serves as the dual to the Octahedron; if you connect the center of each of the Cube's faces, you reveal the Octahedron hidden within. Its simplicity is deceptive, acting as the primary reference point from which many of the more complex "truncated" and "snub" solids in your collection are derived.
